Prior to this, the CPL was informed by Florida-based businessman Kris Persaud, the primary owner of Tallawahs, that he was unable to continue managing Tallawahs due to the low profit margin.

As a result, the CPL organizing committee made the decision to disband the franchise and prepare to install a new one in its place.

The owners of the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons are Worldwide Sports Management Group. It’s interesting to note that Persaud is connected to the Worldwide Sports Management Group as well. According to him, the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons’ arrival will “bring a unique energy and vitality to the CPL”.

“Let’s get ready to play! We are fresh off the plane, here, and prepared. The CPL will experience a distinct vibrancy and excitement from the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons. We are prepared to soar high and conquer everything that lies ahead,” Persaud was cited by Cricbuzz.

“We want to establish a winner’s culture within the team and also a culture of winning and success off the field – among every individual associated with this franchise and the amazing fans we will have at our special home base at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in lovely Antigua,” Persaud said.

“I want to thank the Government of Antigua & Barbuda for working closely with us to bring the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons to life. What you are seeing today as we unveil the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons is something truly special.” Our home is Antigua… Cricket has a long history in this nation, and the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons will add to that legacy by making more unforgettable memories here. The Falcons need to soar high now!” he said.

The Caribbean Premier League in 2024 will take place from August 28 to October 6. The National Stadium in Providence, Guyana, will host the top match.
